Fr. 1187 $20 1922 Gold Certificate Superb Gem New. A well centered, strictly original impeccable Gem that was previously in a CGA-66 holder and is accompanied by its paper strip. We've seen quite a number of these "cut outs" still accompanied by their CGA strip recently. In fact, we have probably about 30 or so in this sale. People seem to like the reassurance of third-party grading but still want to be able to examine the note free of its holder. Serial numbers give currency collectors the best of both worlds, as the accompanying strip is permanently tied to the correct note by serial number. Regardless, this is an original Superb note in anyone's opinion.Auction Info
