Fr. 1172 $10 1907 Gold Certificate PMG Gem Uncirculated 65
EPQ.A lovely plate letter D example with excellent color and ample margins on all four sides, this piece is sure to please. Face plate number 116 is in the first position for this Friedberg number. The first position consists of plate numbers 101-257 and they are found below the left plate letter. In the second position, plate numbers 258-340 were placed to the right and level with the bottom of the right plate letter. The last Fr. 1172 in PMG 65 EPQ that crossed our auction block was also a first position variety and it realized $3,840 in January 2021.
