Description

Fr. 991c $20 1914 Federal Reserve Note New. This is the much scarcer "c" variety. Even from the most common Chicago District, fewer than ten examples are known. Unfortunately, this otherwise nice example has been starched. Starching is a poor way to try to restore a note, and the practice had seemed to be abandoned. We've seen little of this in the last decade.
