Description

Fr. 881* $5 1914 Federal Reserve Star Note PMG Extremely Fine 40 EPQ.
An elusive Kansas City star, this piece is one of just four examples reported in Track & Price for the number. It is also the finest graded of that quadrumvirate. Similarly, the PMG Population Report affirms that this example has achieved the highest grade of the four Fr. 881* notes they have encapsulated thus far. Only two representatives of this number have crossed our desk previously, with the nicer of those two notes being graded at the PMG VF 30 level. Besides deep serial number embossing and wonderful color, this note has attained PMG's EPQ accolade for complete paper surface originality. We should see robust bidding for this incredible note.
