Fr. 836b $5 1914 Red Seal Federal Reserve Note PCGS Gem New
65.A scarce Friedberg number with 71 examples listed in the Track & Price census at present, this $5 is well printed on bright paper with sharp colors as well as excellent margins and centering. Aside from a PCGS Banknote 67 PPQ example which crossed the auction block for $14,400 in our 2021 CSNS Currency Signature Auction, we are unaware of any higher graded examples, with the highest recorded PMG-graded note receiving a Choice Uncirculated 64 designation. A striking problem free example perfect for any type set or FRN collection.
