Fr. 833b $5 1914 Red Seal Federal Reserve Note PCGS Banknote
Superb Gem Unc 67 PPQ.A beautiful example of one of the more common Five Dollar Red Seals that has over 400 pieces in the latest Track & Price census. However, that is certainly not the case at this superlative grade level with fewer than half a dozen examples graded by both services. This is a note that appears to have rolled off the press this morning rather than over 100 years ago with its wonderful color and pristine paper surfaces. It also displays wide margins and ideal centering and is fully deserving of its Superb Gem grade. In our 2024 FUN auction, we offered a PMG Superb Gem 67 EPQ note which realized over $15,000.
