Description

Attractive San Francisco $1000 Federal Reserve Note

Fr. 1133-L $1,000 1918 Federal Reserve Note PCGS Very Fine 30.
Surprisingly, this is just the third example of this Friedberg number to be offered at public auction in more than four years. With bright paper, full margins, and solid printed design details, its appearance is most pleasing for a VF note. Our September 2008 Long Beach Signature Auction featured another PCGS Very Fine 30 graded specimen that realized $25,300. Since that time, only one other comparably graded example has been offered, a New York district piece that realized $26,450 in a PMG Very Fine 25 holder.
