Fr. 1077a $100 1914 Red Seal Federal Reserve Note PMG About
Uncirculated 55.Serial number F1973A is the sole highest third party graded Fr. 1077a by a large margin out of the 13 in total that are listed in Track & Price. It is also the highest graded by PMG by an even larger number. The Track & Price population number of 13 can be reduced further as we delve into our other resources and find that two pieces are locked away at the Smithsonian Institution and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Our current offering is a delightful Atlanta $100 Red Seal that is noticeably attractive due to its preservation, centering, and color. Also, the openness of the back design enables us to see embossing behind both serial numbers. We were the first to offer this note to the collecting community in January 2001. It is now appearing for the third time at auction. A great example for the collector who is after only the best notes.
