Description
One of Nine Known Fr. 1075a Notes
Fr. 1075a $100 1914 Red Seal Federal Reserve Note PCGS Extremely
Fine 40.Serial number D6261A is an attractive Cleveland $100 Red Seal in a comment free holder and one of only nine to be listed in Track & Price. It is also the sole second highest graded Fr. 1075a by a large margin. The inks are dark and the paper is white on this example. There are three vertical folds visible through the holder with two being weak, while the third fold by the Treasury Seal is the most visible. This note's numismatic recorded debut was at William Donlon's November 1975 auction. It did not appear at auction again until The Jim Thompson Collection was auctioned in 1991. We offered it at auction in May 2001. Our consignor acquired it out of its fourth and last auction appearance at the Memphis International Paper Money Show in 2015.
