Fr. 1058 $50 1914 Federal Reserve Note PMG About Uncirculated
55.A measly 14 serial numbers are logged under Fr. 1058 in Track & Price and one of those resides within the confines of the Smithsonian Institution. In fact, serial I139492A in this lot is the highest graded for the Friedberg number in both T&P and the PMG Population Report by 15 grade points. Our consignor acquired this charming lightly circulated example in 2012 paying $9,775 for it, by far a record winning bid for Fr. 1058. After 13 years this piece finally makes a return to the auction block. Not a single apology for this Minneapolis $20 will be needed by its next owner.
