Fr. 1043 $50 1914 Federal Reserve Note PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ. Thirty-eight examples are listed in the Track & Price census, with this lovely note not among them. A small handful of uncirculated examples is known, all of which come from the same serial-number run. This "Exceptional Paper Quality" note is well outside that run, and it is the only uncirculated 1043 that can make the claim. We sold a PMG 66 from the known run in April of 2006 for $5750. Two years later, with that note and this the only two graded above the 63 level, we would expect a far higher number.From The Thomas M. Flynn Collection
