Description

Fr. 831 $50 1918 Federal Reserve Bank Note About New. This note, from the Midwest Collection, is a new number to the census, which now numbers about 50 pieces. St. Louis was the only district to issue Fifties, and this is the only signature combination, making Fr. 831 a one-number type. The note is nicely margined, well centered on both sides and problem-free. The Scheuerman example, which was identical to this piece, realized $10,450 on an estimate of $8000-up. We would expect this new-to-the-market example to bring just about that.
