Fr. 779 $2 1918 Federal Reserve Bank Star Note CGA Gem Uncirculated 65. This note last appeared at auction with us over two years ago where it was cataloged, "A beautifully centered and fully original star note from the Merlau collection, formerly the property of New York collector Herman Halpern, whose holdings were sold back in 1995. This makes a perfect specimen for the collector who wants just one high end Battleship star, as six of the seven known star $2 notes from the San Francisco district grade About Uncirculated or better."
