Rare $10 1862 Face Proof
Fr. UNL Hessler ITE4 $10 1862 Interest Bearing Note PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 Front Proof.A great "what-if" ABNCo face design with a memorable "Big Head" Washington portrait. This plate C proof impression was nicely printed on India paper and mounted on paper stock. "Interest One Mill Per Day" is found above the portrait. Hessler reports only a single sale and that occurred in 1991. An excessively rare paper money item in an undervalued field.
