Fr. 8 $10 1861 Demand Note Choice Very Fine. The technical grade belies the attractiveness of this Demand note. The margins are extraordinary for the type, and the note is utterly without a flaw save for the normal circulation one would expect for the grade. It's free of soil, with perfect color, and the eye appeal of an XF or better note. Only about three dozen Fr. 8's are known--most considerably lower grade than this, and most of the other examples with less eye appeal than this note.
