$500 1928 Gold PCGS 45PPQ
Fr. 2407 $500 1928 Gold Certificate. PCGS Extremely Fine
45PPQ.A delightful $500 Gold that came to us from overseas. The yellow-orange third printing remains bold with sharply defined digits in both serial numbers. The back of this white paper note reveals embossing of the serial numbers and the Treasury Seal. The original paper surfaces also show just a few folds. Very few Fr. 2407 pieces listed in the Track & Price census have earned either an EPQ or PPQ grade modifier. We are sure that our current offering was able to earn its PPQ grade modifier without a second thought. We did have another PCGS 45PPQ close at $19,975 at our April 2017 CSNS auction.
