Fr. 1364/8? 50¢ Third Issue Justice Very Fine. The spacing of the reverse surcharges on this note is totally enigmatic. This is only the second example we've seen in thirty years (strike that...it's now been a depressing forty years) of dealing in fractional currency. The spacing both vertically and horizontally is the distinguishing factor between Fr. 1364s and Fr. 1368s. On this note the vertical spacing between the "A" and the "6" is fully the Fr. 1368 variety, while the spacing between the "2" and the "5" is that of Fr. 1364. The left-to-right spacing falls right between both varieties. Of considerable significance to fractional collectors and likely quite valuable.Auction Info
