Description
Single Signature Justice
Fr. 1355 Milton 3R50.1b 50¢ Third Issue Justice PMG Gem
Uncirculated 65 EPQ.This is an extremely rare Justice variety, with the Colby signature missing on the left. It was previously Lot 16065 of our May 2005 St. Louis auction. We described it there: "This is the very rare variety with the Spinner autograph only. We know of only three examples of this note, this being by far the finest. The bronze is blazing bright, the centering is ideal and the margins, for a hand-signed Justice type, are spectacular. The note also has all of its deep, original embossing." To our best knowledge, this is the finest known single-signature Fractional note for any Friedberg number. We called it Gem when we sold it in 2005, and sixteen years later, PMG agrees.
