Rare Solid Surcharge Fessenden - Fr. 1300
Fr. 1300 25¢ Third Issue PCGS Apparent Extremely Fine 45.Fr. 1300 is one of the classic Fractional Currency rarities. Only a few more than a dozen Fr. 1300s are known to us, and this one is about halfway in the condition census. Few 1300s have escaped damage of some sort, with their very brittle paper, and this one has a small problem which PCGS mentions as "Minor Edge Tear Right of Center at Top." It is not visible through the holder and the note has the look of a Choice New example. PCGS has graded ten notes of this number with only three grading higher than this piece.
