PMG 63 EPQ Solid Surcharge Fessenden
Fr. 1299 25¢ Third Issue PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ.These solid surcharge Fessendens, both this 1299 and its sheet-mate 1300, are almost impossible to locate in undamaged high grades. The extremely brittle paper led to splits, chips, and missing chunks that are near universal. This note has somehow missed out on all of these perennial problems. In our 2021 Central States auction, we sold a PCGS Banknote 63 PPQ example for $3,840.
