Fr. 1296 25¢ Third Issue PMG Choice Uncirculated 63 EPQ.By far the rarest Third Issue 25¢ (Fr. 1291-1300) by a large margin is offered in this lot. Track & Price lists only 30 examples. A distant second place is held by Fr. 1300 with 55 listed. This embossed piece with paper originality has rightfully earned its EPQ grade modifier. It also has two wide margins with the left margin containing a slender slice of the adjacent note along the edge. The top margin is wide enough so that the lower loops in Colby's and Spinner's signatures hang down from the edge. Overall, it is a nicely preserved piece with ideal color and without a trace of handling.
