Fr. 1294 25¢ Third Issue PCGS Superb Gem New 67PPQ.While not a rare note, this piece's strong suit is its exquisite condition. With exceptional paper surfaces, embossing, color (including the bronze design elements that retain their original golden hue), and excellent centering and registration, it has earned its lofty grade. To put some perspective on this, PMG has graded 492 examples of this Friedberg number with only one note note exceeding and one note equaling this grade at present. This note last crossed the auction block for $1,560 in September 2022.
