No Signatures Grant-Sherman Specimen - One of Only Two Known

Fr. 1276SP 15¢ Third Issue Narrow Margin Face No Signatures PCGS Banknote Choice About Uncirculated 58.
A spectacular No Signatures Grant-Sherman Specimen Face. For many years, the only known example was the Friedberg piece, which came to the market as part of the Rothert sale in November of 1972. This note, which was a surprise to us to find in the Tabacco family collection, is a new piece that we were unaware of, and could not pedigree. Once again, relying on friend and colleague Benny Bolin's unmatched research abilities, it was identified. Prior to this appearance, its only public record was in Stack's Capital City sale on October 11, 2007 where it was lot number 1003. The note itself is very high grade, with strong printing and excellent margins for a Narrow Margin Specimen. An incredibly important piece to the advanced Fractional collector.
