Fr. 1251SP 10¢ Third Issue Red Back PMG Choice Uncirculated 64. PMG has noted "Missing Bronze Specimen On Face", which apparently means that the normally seen bronze "SPECIMEN" is missing from the reverse side of this back, which this cataloger supposes, could marginally and philosophically be considered its face. In any event, the bronze "SPECIMEN" on the unprinted side of these Third Issue backs is very nearly ubiquitous, and this piece which lacks it could be considered quite rare.Auction Info
