Fr. 1238 5c Third Issue Superb Gem New. Huge margins, deep embossing, razor sharp printing and perfect color all combine on this essentially perfect Green Back Clark. Spencer Clark, who headed the National Currency Bureau, had his own portrait placed on this Third Issue 5c note, a decision which, while it immortalized him to some extent, was not terribly well received in Washington.Auction Info
