Fr. 1227 Milton 3R3.2e 3¢ Third Issue Inverted Back PMG Choice Very Fine 35.The first example of this invert on a dark curtain note was found in the early 1980s and therefore was unlisted in the original Milton Encyclopedia. Currently this is one of only two known. Nicely margined and centered, this is the better of the two known dark curtain three cent notes with inverted backs. The other example is in the final session of this auction.
