Description
Fr. 1382 Fractional Currency Shield, With Gray Background. This is a wonderful shield in a contemporary frame which is backed with various communications from the early 1900's. It seems this shield was originally purchased from the Anthony estate in 1921. A Fractional Currency pricelist from Arnold Numismatic Co. shows that prices for rare Fractionals have steadily increased over the years. Numerous hotel advertising is also visible along with mementos from WWI. The shield itself only has minor blemishes and the frame has remained intact after all of these years. The majority of the notes remain colorful with only a few exhibiting a bit of fading. A pleasing piece.Auction Info
