From 1997 through 2007 all of the major fractional collections formed over a 40+ year period came on the market. Over the last five years, it has been rather easy to acquire one of these great notes. If the history of collecting has taught us anything, it is to buy when material is all over the market and sell when it has been absorbed. What it fails to tell us is how to time this.
