Milton 2E50F.4 50¢ Second Issue Coarse Fiber Paper Experimental Face PCGS Banknote Superb Gem Unc 68 PPQ, 2 POCs.An unbelievable grade for an Experimental is found in this lot. We readily see how this broad margined and ideal color beauty attained such a high grade. It is one of a mere five Experimentals that we have auctioned at the 68 EPQ/PPQ grade level. For comparison purposes, we had a PMG 66 EPQ example of this Milton number realize $900 last January. Our current offering has the usual rubber stamped diagonal purple "SPECIMEN" and two half moon cancels. Look for this highly desirable piece to exceed our estimate.
