Fr. 1289 25¢ Second Issue PCGS Banknote Superb Gem Unc 67
PPQ.We are pleased to offer this single finest known Fr. 1289, which has earned an incredible Superb Gem Unc 67 PPQ grade by PCGS Banknote. PCGS Banknote has graded only this example at the 67 level, and PMG has awarded this grade to none. The margins are as exceptional as they come, and the color found throughout looks as if it was printed yesterday. The highest grade previously offered for this Friedberg was a PMG 65 EPQ, which we sold last September for just over $2,000. This phenomenal example is two grades higher, and should certainly see plenty of bidding form collectors seeking the best of the best.
