Fr. 1286 25c Second Issue Inverted "S" Very Choice New. From our January 2001 sale of the Dr. Scheuermann Collection, where it was described, "About ten examples of this variety are known, and this is one of the very finest. Although the S is not fully sharp, it is unquestionably the inverted variety, and the overall appearance of the note is quite nice. A popular note that will undoubtedly see considerable bidder interest. Dr. Scheuermann acquired it as Lot 1248 from Stack's September 1993 sale. Prior to that, it had been in a Robert Siegel sale."Auction Info
