Wide Margin Fiber Paper Progress Proof
5c Second Issue Progress Proof PCGS Choice New 63PPQ. Printed on fiber paper with fully wide margins, this 5c Progress Proof from the unfinished plate has the Washington portrait printed in place and not glued-in as is generally seen on these pieces. It is also on paper that is not generally seen on progress proofs. Stamped and punched as notes of this type usually are, this one is unusual in its 63PPQ grade. Very few examples from this ultra-rare category have survived problem-free.Auction Info
