Fr. 1282 25¢ First Issue PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.A wonderful example with sharp even margins and crisply printed design details on bright paper. Postage Currency was the federal government's first effort to relieve a chronic coin shortage that developed near the beginning of the war. The first series actually depicted current postage stamps, in this case five 5¢ stamps. This is about as nice as they come and, in fact, only one other note currently bests this example in the PMG Population Report.
