Likely Unique Fr. 1282 Block of Eight
Fr. 1282 25¢ First Issue Block of Eight PCGS Choice About New 58PPQ.The perfect twin to the five cent no monogram block of eight appearing earlier in this session. Like the five cent block, we can find no record of this or anything similar in any auction catalog. Again, like the five cent block, all eight subjects are Choice or Gem New, with the 58PPQ grade resulting from very light folds wholly within the margin areas between the notes. This cataloger has been specializing in Fractional currency for what feels like 113 years and had no suspicion that First Issue, No Monogram, Straight Edge multiples existed. Taken individually, the value of the eight notes would be about $3,000. This very likely unique block is certainly worth double or more.
