Fr. 1279 25¢ First Issue PCGS Banknote Superb Gem Unc 68
PPQ.This first issue 25¢ Postage Currency note continues to maintain its position as the "Top Pop" example of this Friedberg number, with no examples in this grade reported in the PMG Population Report and none higher in the PCGS Banknote records. As would be expected for a note in this grade, centering, registration, and printing details are excellent, and all of the perforations are intact. The last time out, this example sold for $5,287.50 in our 2013 Long Beach Currency Signature Auction, and we expect that level to be tested or bettered this time around.
