Fr. 1230 5¢ First Issue PCGS Banknote Superb Gem Unc 68 PPQ.Although we have sold hundreds of examples of this common Fractional number, we have only sold a single other example graded 68. And that was just recently, in April of last year. That note realized $3120. Interestingly, we have sold just three 67s. On the merits of this note, it would be impossible to challenge this super-high grade. The face margins are the kind that generate the comment "boardwalk" or "picture frame," and the back centering is absolutely dead-on perfect. All the other attributes of color, paper originality, brightness and print quality are at their zenith. A really special Fractional note, bound for the finest of Registry Sets.
