Fr. 1229 5¢ First Issue PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.A wonderfully perforated, No Monogram Five Cent, this offering appears to be graded exactly on the mark. The back is centered a drop too high for a higher grade, but is more than adequate for the assigned 65 EPQ. Needle-sharp printing and perfect colors, as with so many of Bob's notes, highlight this piece. We have sold a number of this type in this exact grade across the previous dozen years. They have sold in an extremely wide range, with one underselling at $460, and one overselling at $2040. The majority of the notes were almost exactly in between.
