Fr. 1228 5¢ First Issue PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.Fr. 1228 is the most common of the eight different perforated notes, making it very sought after to represent the type. This little jewel has been properly awarded the PMG 66 EPQ designation. PMG has graded 183 examples as of November, with only a single 67 higher than this note. We sold another 66 EPQ for $2640 earlier this year. That was an outlier. This piece is an extraordinary beauty that will not reach quite that level, but should prove competitive.
