Missing HAWAII Back Overprint Error Fr. 2303 $10 1934A Hawaii
Federal Reserve Note. PCGS Banknote Choice XF 45.The large HAWAII overprint is missing from the back of this lightly circulated World War II $10 emergency note. To the best of our knowledge, serial L11939409B in this lot not only bears the lowest serial number, it has also earned the highest grade for a missing HAWAII back overprint $10 error. A PMG VF 30 example of this error realized $3,600 in 2020. Errors on these special World War II notes are very scarce and always in demand, therefore we would not be surprised if our higher graded current offering achieved an even higher result.
