Description

Fr. 21690-J $100 1981 Federal Reserve Note. Crisp Uncirculated. A fascinating note which is one of the most perplexing errors we have ever seen. The third printing is partially affixed on the front, giving every evidence of a simple obstruction error, but the back shows a partial seal and two serial numbers, as well as a tiny fragment of another number at the top left corner. However, there is no evidence of a fold that would indicate how the back came to be imprinted with these numbers. All in all, a most significant high denomination error that has us stumped as to how it could have been produced.
