Fr. 2074-L $20 1981A Federal Reserve Note. About Uncirculated. An interesting and rare note which is one of the more puzzling errors we've handled. The face shows most, but by no means all, of the third printing missing. The reverse shows parts of three serial numbers and two different seals, leading to the conclusion that the sheet was folded, tilted at a ninety degree angle, and had the third printing applied in part to the back. There is, however, no indication in the paper that any such folding ever took place. We're at a loss here to explain this, but it certainly is a neat and likely very rare error.Auction Info
