Fr. 848 $5 1914 Federal Reserve Note PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.Last appearing in our January 2009 FUN auction where it was cataloged, "This fabulous piece is one of the finest inverts known. Its provenance can be traced back to the famed Grinnell sale of June 1946 as lot 4826. This is a beautiful, well centered gem with bold embossing, natural paper wave, and ideal ink colors. It is also by far the finer of the two invert examples known for this Friedberg number." That evening it realized $9775, tonight it should repeat that performance.
