Description
Gutter Fold Error Fr. 1963-G $5 1950B Federal Reserve Note. PMG Superb Gem Unc 67 EPQ★ .An impressive face gutter fold error measuring approximately 12 mm in width at its widest point and running diagonally from the "5" counter at upper left, bisecting the Chicago district seal, and going beyond the bottom edge due to a large fold. Plate letter F on an 18 subject sheet is located in the lower left corner. This error note has also retained a large amount of selvage that includes paper guide line markers at lower left on the face and back. A large notch missing from the upper left corner is as made. The gutter also caused the district indicators and serial number on the left side to be shifted downwards. Similar gutter errors have approached $2,000 and more in our auctions.
