Printed Fold Error Fr. 1976-A $5 1981 Federal Reserve Note. PMG Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.Our consignor made excellent choices in errors for his collection. This Boston $5 from plate position H2 is no exception. This piece received a long, diagonal fold before the laying down of the overprint. This allowed most of the Treasury seal and right serial number to be printed on the back along with a complete district 1 indicator. This 66 EPQ error note has a slightly higher grade and a larger foldover than a similar example of this error on a $5 Fr. 1984-B note that brought $1,440 in May 2022.
