Description

Partial Additional Overprint on Face with BEP Rejection Mark Error Fr. 2011-B $10 1950A Federal Reserve Note. PCGS Gem New 65PPQ.
The doubled third printing occurred on the bottom half of this New York $10. The two lower district indicators, both signatures of the Treasury officials, and the serial number at lower left is doubled. This doubling of the serial number results in two clearly readable serials on this note. The first serial printed was B29387976D and the second serial is four digits apart, B29386980D. A BEP inspector noticed the doubled print and marked Hamilton's portrait with a red crayon. Double impressions are among the scarcest of all paper money mistakes according to page 126 of the fourth edition of the Bart reference.
