Fully Original, Choice Uncirculated T57
T57 $50 1863 PF-15 Cr. UNL PMG Choice Uncirculated 64
EPQ.The T57 bears a similar design to its predecessor, the T50 Confederate Treasury Note. Besides a different printed date, however, this type features red, machine printed serial numbers and a red date stamp at right. Printed on high quality paper watermarked "CSA" in block letters surrounded by a wavy line, this charming example features a well printed portrait of Jefferson Davis on the face. While obtainable in lower grades, this type becomes quite difficult to locate at near-Gem levels. In fact, we have not auctioned a PMG 64 EPQ certified T57 representative since February 2025, and that piece garnered $960.
