Description

T54 $2 1862 PF-6 Cr. 391.
Hoyer & Ludwig periodically printed notes, including this one, for the Confederacy after their contracts were revoked in May, 1862 because of their refusal to evacuate Richmond. Secretary Memminger needed their printing capacity and allowed them to selectively continue printing notes as long as their name did not appear on their work. This example grades PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
