T50 $50 1862 PF-4 Cr. 351 PMG About Uncirculated 55.
Printed on high quality paper watermarked "CSA" in block letters surrounded by a wavy line, this T50 represents the first $50 Confederate Treasury Note with a back. At center on the face is a portrait of Confederate President Jefferson Davis, "50" die counters are located at upper right and left, and dark green protectors cover the signature spaces as well as either side of the portrait. The back, printed in light green ink, showcases the denomination at either end. Our current offering exhibits a full frame and is offered in a tougher to obtain AU grade. We auctioned a PCGS Banknote Choice AU 58 PPQ graded representative of this type in March 2026 which brought $671.
