T39 $100 1862 PF-5 Cr. 290.Issued by Civil Agent Walter Smith on January 1, 1863 according to his hand-written notation on the back. For more information, please see pages 223 in Michael McNeil's Confederate Issuers of Train and Hoer Notes. An interest paid rubber stamped notation from Augusta in red ink is also seen on the back. Fine.
