Description
T6 $50 1861 PF-1 Cr. 6 PCGS Banknote Uncirculated 62.Only 5,798 examples each of the T5 and T6 Confederate Treasury Notes were emitted from August 25 through September 23, 1861. These two types were the first to be issued by the Confederacy after the capital was moved from Montgomery, AL, to Richmond, VA. Similar to the T5, the SBNCo spared no expense in designing and producing this beauty. Printed on high quality plain banknote paper, this note features Justice holding her scales and sword at left and Pallas (representing Industry) and Ceres (representing Agriculture) conversing at center. The portion of the note at right is graced by a portrait of George Washington. A green "L - FIFTY - L" protector finishes the layout on the face. PCGS Banknote has not mentioned any meaningful condition impairments on this delightful piece.
